I have a fiancé that lives in Colombia I accept spent months trying to figure out how to send money to her without getting slapped with not just exchange rate fees, just processing fees, transfer fees and since we are taking fees, fees. When yous think Western Union stores you initially think expensive, which is why I avoided it. I highly incertitude walking into an actual shop or any other app on the planet would charge less than the $3, I spent on fees. This rate is less than most ATM fees and it gives me leverage as to what I tin can transport and the frequency. I couldn't believe it, they also throw in customized eastward-cards and you can earn "unlocks" as you go. This gives the process warmth. Last idea on this. UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!!
This is past far the worst experience I have ever had trying to transport money… I tried to send $500 to my sister because she needed money for schoolhouse clothes and supplies for my three nieces. I put all my data in and hit ostend to send. I then got a message proverb I needed to verify some things, so I added my drivers license and everything they needed. I got a bulletin maxim "your transfer is under review this usually takes 30 minutes apathetic blah blah" a whole day goes by and it still said the same thing. It wouldn't even let me try to send another one unless I canceled the first ane!! Ok my sis really needs the coin at this bespeak and then I cancel and try again. I GET THE SAME MESSAGE about the 30 min crap. I'thousand worried if I cancel it over again and try to send a new transfer that i might mess something up. Another solar day goes past and null. I finally just went ahead and used a dissimilar platform but this is absolutely ridiculous!! The sole purpose of this app is to be able to transfer money and so I'chiliad actually merely confused and highly upset that I wasn't able to and not only that in that location was no clear reason as to why information technology was happening I never got an electronic mail or anything. A complete waist of time and my sister had to wait almost a week and go purchase school supplies the night before the kickoff day of school because of this. I Will NEVER employ WU again ever! Deleted the app and not looking back! ✌🏼
Not WORTH It .
The first time I used it was no upshot, I've ship my mom coin apparently she was blocked from the system I and so proceeded to enquire the lady from client service if she was able to change the name of the receiver and she kept ignoring everything I said. I asked several times if it would be easier to simply modify the senders name like they usually practice in shop and she kept maxim that they didn't do that when in the app information technology clearly stated "telephone call customer service " to edit the name . I ended up getting a re-fund and so proceeded to transport my dad money none the less had some other problem and called immediately just to get no answer it's been the 14 time I call and take to go through all he options just to get to the point where it says " hold in the line for a customer service representative " and almost v seconds afterward an operating talking some other language pops up and the telephone call is concluded out of all fourteen calls just ane went through and had me waiting "a couple of minutes " that turned into over a xxx infinitesimal expect only for them to never pick upward . I so emailed them with the problem merely said I would be contact within 24 hrs ! Are you serious ? But still nix ... I've chosen 3 dissimilar numbers of there so claimed 24& 24/7 hr client service wich is a total bs . & here I am struggling simply because apparently it would be cheaper and more convenient when u all the same end up paying more less the same thing .
